   The use of computers and computer applications are globally recognized. in almost all kind of industry, computers are indispensable tools of operations and are commonly utilized either as subsidiary to manpower, or as main instruments to production. At home, computers are popularly known as one of the household appliances that the whole family could make use of either as a tool for enjoyment, as aid for learning, or as machine for word processing, art works and the like.

    Are you yourself aware that there is such a thing as "computer ethics" that is meant to properly guide computer users and control the supposed "free and unlimited" use of computer applications?

    You may be interested to note the following creed sourced from the Computer Ethics Institute in Dupont Circle, Washington, D.C:

  1. Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people.
   2. Thou shalt not interfere with other people's computer works.
    3. Thou shalt not snoop around other people's files.
    4. Thou shalt not use a computer to steal.
    5. Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness.
    6. Thou shalt not use or copy software for which you have not paid.
     7. Thou shalt not use other people's computer resources without authorization.
     8. Thou shalt not appropriate other people's intellectual output.
    9. Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the programs you write.
    10. Thou shalt use a computer in ways that show consideration and respect.
